Asian Pacific American Law Student Association/South Asian
Law Student Association (APALSA/SALSA)*
APALSA/SALSA is a chapter of a national organization. It provides academic,
career, and social support as well as professional connections to individuals
pursuing careers in law.
India Student Association (ISA)
ISA's purpose is to educate the campus on Indian culture and to promote the
Indian presence on campus. ISA also provides a solidarity for those interested
in India. Each semester, ISA puts on a cultural program, Diwali Night in the
fall, and India Night in the spring. Other major events include Garba and Holi
celebrations.
Indian Graduate Students Association (IGSA)
IGSA's mission is to maintain ties with the Indian community in and around
Madison. IGSA provides support to Indian students, particularly to those new
to the University in adjusting to the Madison campus and lifestyle. In addition,
the organization promotes Indian culture on campus through classical concerts
in music and dance and by celebrating Indian festivals.
Pakistani Students Association (PSA)
The Pakistani Students Association provides a cultural, historical and political
link to Pakistan for students and faculty of UW-Madison and the community
(at large). By serving as a body of information, the PSA seeks to exhibit
Pakistan and its people in true spirit. The PSA aims to provide a platform
where Pakistani and non-Pakistani individuals can learn from each other,
in a comfortable and cordial atmosphere.
School of Bhangra
The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Bhangra is a co-ed team based
in Madison, WI dedicated to teaching and performing Bhangra in our school
and community. It was founded in 2006 and has continuously
performed every semester since!
